On Saturday, September 17, 2016, Bainbridge Island citizens will join people around the world participating in the International Coastal Cleanup Day.  We have 53 miles of shoreline on our island, and we are seeking volunteers to help remove trash from all of those miles.  If you are interested in volunteering, as an individual, a family or an organization or business, please send a message with Beach Clean-Up in the subject to .

June Rotary Auction and Rummage Sale Green Team


The Rotary Auction Green Team would love your help! Our various sub-groups are active during collection week, June 24 to July 2, 2016, 8am-8pm, and post-sale.  Here are the kinds of volunteer tasks:
-The Land of Opportunity - Help identify and divert unsold items to nonprofits and recycling endpoints during collection week;
-The Recycling Team - Perform the important work of collecting and sorting all recyclable materials during collection week;
-The Food Team - Ensure that compostables, recyclables and trash get properly sorted from volunteer meals;
-The Green Team Desk (sitting position)- Command Central for all our green teams during collection week;
- The Post-sale Landfill Diversion Team - Coordinate and facilitate the transition into volunteers' cars to make sure what is not sold and leftover from the Auction but still has a useful life finds a new home other than the landfill!
