DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, October 3\, 2026\n11 a.m. to 2​ p.m.*\nPoulsbo Kitsap Regional Library\n700 NE Lincoln Road Poulsbo\, WA 98370 \nAt this event\, fixers will attempt to repair: \n\nminor repairs and adjustments to eyeglasses\n​small household appliances like lamps\, vacuums\, toasters\, and more\nmendable clothing and textiles\, like shirts\, pants\, jeans\, tablecloths\, and more (sorry no zippers)​\n\n*Participants must arrive and check-in 30 minutes before event end time.​ \n\n\n\nKitsap residents are welcome to bring up to two items per event. Common items include clothing\, textiles\, small home appliances\, lamps\, vacuums\, bicycles (minor repairs)\, and small electronics. You must be able to carry your items in and out – no oversized items. Each event will vary on what skills are available to repair your items. \n\n\nVolunteer fixers will do their best to attempt repairs but there are no guarantees for a repair. Some items are more difficult to repair\, can take longer than we have time for at the event\, or even break more during a repair attempt. \nGo here for more details.

Participants say it is easy\, relaxing\, companionable and meaningful. \nEnter through the side door (thrift store entrance)\, walk down the hall\, and turn left at the last doorway in that hallway. Magnets provided for sorting. The aluminum\, steel and other metals are taken to a scrapyard. Funds received are donated back to the BISCC. The third time you help out\, you get your own magnet for keeps! \nThis is a project sponsored jointly by BI Zero Waste and the BISCC and headed up by Barbara Ochota. Questions?
