DESCRIPTION:Greet the spring with a weed pull!\nTen Weed Warriors showed up for the April weed pull at Strawberry Plant Park and left big piles of invasive weeds—yay! There are still lots of weeds left\, so come on out to SPP at the Eagle Harbor road end of Weaver Road NW on Saturday\, May 13\, 2-4 pm. Park on Shepherd Way NW. \nThis delightful and popular park is still being overrun by the usual bullies: ivy\, Scotch broom\, and holly—not to mention Himalayan blackberries. Work as hard and long or as easy and short as you like\, but please join us. Bring your plant and tool questions as well. Please let Jeannette Franks know if you are coming.

SUMMARY:ReFashion Show: Fashion in the Forest
DESCRIPTION:Come stroll the beautiful trails at IslandWood to view apparel creatively repurposed from various materials at the seventh annual ReFashion Show. Designers have entered their juried outfits in one of three categories: \n\nUpcycled\nMystery Box\nThemed: Connections\n\nThe trails display will be open from 1-3pm. Cost is $15 adults\, $5 students.\nA runway show with awards follows at 3:15. Cost is $10 adults\, $5 students. \nThere will also be an accessories exchange in the Welcome Center. Bring gently used purses\, bags\, scarves\, and jewelry. You are welcome to bring and not take\, or vice versa\, or both. \nTicket registration will open in mid-late April.
