MacKinnon\, journalist and author of The Day the World Stops Shopping: How Ending Consumerism Saves the Environment and Ourselves\, as well as The 100-mile Diet\, and Rebecca Rockefeller\, co-author of Buy Nothing\, Get Everything\, and one of the founders of the world-wide Buy Nothing Project. MacKinnon tracks this possibility by contemplating what it would mean in our lives and the lives of others\, how it would affect us\, and how it could save the planet. His in-depth and wide-ranging research encompasses consumption habits from blue jeans to electricity.
