DESCRIPTION:The Kitsap Environmental Coalition presents “Biodiversity: What It Is and Why It Is Important?” at the Kingston Village Green Community Center\, 26159 Dulay Rd NE\, Kingston\, WA 98346\, on Sunday\, February 16\, 3-5pm. Guest speaker Dylan Mendenhall\, principal ecologist at Haven Ecology & Research\, will give a talk entitled\, “Preserving Biodiversity on a Swiftly Tilting Planet.”  He asks us to “reimagine ecological restoration\, not as a futile effort to reclaim the past\, but as a creative process of navigating our way to the flourishing future that we all know is possible.” \nThere will also be a discussion about our Heritage Parks as possible biodiverse wildlife preserves. \nThis is a free event. Snacks and refreshments are served. (Feel free to share your favorite snack.) \nKEC Presents is one of the activities of the Kitsap Environmental Coalition\, an all-volunteer organization. It presents an environmentally focused topic the third Sunday of each month.
