DESCRIPTION:Some 45 years ago\, Canoe Magazine queried\, “Where are the women in whitewater canoeing?” Maradel Gale\, a founder and board member of Sustainable Bainbridge\, answered that call by recruiting six other women\, who all trained for a year and then embarked on a journey from Chicken\, Alaska\, on the Fortymile River to Eagle\, Alaska\, on the Yukon River.  Their trip was full of adventure\, paddling through undeveloped territory and a river at flood stage.  Not content with oral reminiscences when reuniting every ten years\, the group decided to write a book about their experiences on the river and the impact it had on all their lives. This annual sale is an important source of funding for the BI Senior Center\, an amazingly important resource for people of all ages. \nDetails \n\nWednesday\, Nov. 24 from 2-4 pm – Help with bundling and\, if you like\, choose the choicest branches for your own decorating.
