Amber pill bottles are not allowed in residential or transfer station recycling.
Walgreens takes back pill bottles from its pharmacy customers. The bottles are sent to Shred-it, where they are shredded, then recycled.
Ridwell collects them semi-annually for reuse and/or recycling. If you know someone with a Ridwell subscription, save up your bottles (remove label if possible) and ask if you can contribute your collection.
