The Association of Bainbridge Communities represents some of the neighborhoods on the island.

The Bainbridge Alliance for Puget Sound, a branch of People for Puget Sound, is working to educate ialanders about the interrelationship between our actions and the health of our shorelines and nearshore habitat.

Bainbridge Farmers Market is on Saturdays from April to October at Town Square near City Hall. Winter market is in November through mid-December at Eagle Harbor Church.

Bicycles for Humanity You can help by donating a bike either at Classic Cycle or B.I.Cycle. Bicycles are gladly accepted if they have frames and wheels that are usable. The tires and tubes are not required to be usable. Both adult and children’s bicycles are acceptable, although tricycles are not. Spare parts are also graciously accepted.

Friends of the Farms works to preserve and enhance local farming on Bainbridge Island.

The Northwest EcoBuilding Guild is a not-for-profit entity devoted to educating consumers, property owners, builders, designers, city planners, developers, and property managers on the many facets of sustainable design, build and landscaping through monthly chapter presentations and an annual symposium.

The Old Mill Permaculture Center is a learning and research center on Bainbridge Island committed to helping promote more sustainable ways for people to live harmoniously with one another as part of the earth community.

The Puget Sound Restoration Fund works on restoring habitat, water quality and native species in the Puget Sound.
