Casting about for a meaningful New Year’s resolution? Want to combine your love of being outside and protecting our environment? How about joining Kitsap County’s Adopt A Spot program? Adopt a Spot is a county program that makes it easy for you to collect, track, and report your efforts. You can choose an area or roadside right here on the Island that’s meaningful to you to visit on a regular basis – weekly, monthly, semi-annually, it’s up to you! Most of our Island roads and public spaces have not yet been adopted. Check out the map on the Adopt a Spot website, and help add to it with your spot adoption. Let’s make 2024 a healthier, litter-free year for ourselves and our Island!
