Loading Events

Join the Bainbridge Island Land Trust, IslandWood, Eagle Harbor Book Company, and Kitsap Regional Library on Thursday, August 13, 6:30-8pm, at IslandWood for a special evening with acclaimed author Richard Louv, whose groundbreaking book Last Child in the Woods helped inspire a global movement to reconnect people with nature.

In conversation with Bainbridge Island resident and environmental health expert Howard Frumkin, Louv will discuss his new book, Noticing: Intimate Encounters With Nature, exploring how slowing down and paying closer attention to the natural world can deepen our sense of wonder, well-being, and connection to place. Tickets include a hardcover copy of the book, and a signing will follow the presentation.
