Ridwell, a doorstep pick-up subscription service for special recyclables/reusables not accepted in curbside recycling, started up on Bainbridge in March of 2020. Every two weeks this Seattle-based company stops by to collect plastic film, batteries, “threads” and lightbulbs, plus one extra category each time. The response from the Bainbridge community has been very receptive: Within one year, subscriptions have more than doubled. More information can be found here.
