Where: Williams-Olson Park, 6200 Williams Lane

When: Saturday, December 11th (2nd Saturday), 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

What:  Williams-Olson is a waterfront park along a sloping bluff with 4.8 acres of upland property, 8 acres of tideland, and 460’ of shoreline access.  Volunteers will help tackle ivy and some blackberry along a short trail through the wooded portion of the park.

What to bring:  We suggest volunteers wear sturdy close-toed shoes, long pants, and work gloves. Please also bring your own water bottle if you’d like one. The Park District will provide any (sanitized) tools volunteers will need, but feel free to bring your favorite.

COVID-19 Requirements/Modifications: All participants must respond to a COVID questionnaire prior to participating in this event.  If proof of full vaccination is provided, masks are not required. Proof of vaccination is a vaccination card or photo of a vaccination card provided to Park District staff at the start of the event. Please note these requirements may be updated at anytime

Volunteers Under 18: All volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian who can sign them into the event, or if not accompanied by an adult, they must bring a signed Parent Authorization Form with them.  All minors less than 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult for the entire event.
